OBJECTIVES
Following this program the participants can be expected to:
1. Define crisis development in terms of four distinct and identifiable behavior levels.
2. Identify the different levels of defensive behavior.
3. Identify the duties of a team leader.
4. Identify the appropriate time to use nonviolent physical crisis intervention.
ABOUT CPI FLEX
The Flex experience starts with completing the online portion of the course, which introduces you to basic concepts of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training.
During the online portion, participants use a downloadable Learner’s Guide that ushers them through each module, encourages note-taking, and challenges them to consider their own workplace realities and apply the content. Participants bring their Learner’s Guides filled with their own reflections to your classroom session.
The participant will bring the certificate of completion to their classroom portion.
Participants will come to the classroom portion to be prepared to discuss how they can apply the models and techniques learned, and they will practice these skills in the classroom.
The classroom is also where participants learn and safely practice any applicable physical disengagement and/or holding skills for managing risk behavior. When both the online and classroom portions are completed, the participants'will receive the Blue Card for certification.
