GOAL
The goal of the Cardiovascular Case Studies will be to create an open forum for the discussion of cardiovascular care and outcomes at HaysMed.

OBJECTIVES

Following this program, the participants can be expected to:
   
  • Review cases evaluating outcomes and recognize opportunities for improvement.
  • Enhancement of communication between all disciplines as it pertains to patient care, outcomes, and quality in relation to the critical care patient.
  • Development of goals to improve practice by consulting with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
  • Provision of a mechanism to dissenminate knowledge, outcomes and quality in relationship to critical care patients and to give recommendations.

    TARGET AUDIENCE

    Physicians, PAs, ARNPs, RNs, LPNs, Respiratory Therapists, Social Workers, Radiology, Speech Therapy, PTs, OTs, Cardiovascular and Stroke Team members and other interested Healthcare.Professionals.

    CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITSCME

    All participants are required to complete and sign a "verification of attendance" form. After the program, a certificate of completion will be provided to activity participants based on documentation of actual attendance time.

    Physicians: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the University of Kansas Medical Center Office of Continuing Medical Education and Hays Medical Center.
