Program overview

This program is designed to improve the care of cancer patients including, but not limited to, colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, immunotherapy toxicity, breast cancer survivorship, head and neck cancers.

Objectives

  • Analyze the epidemiology of colon adenocarcinoma.
  • Define the role of molecular genetics in colon cancer incidence and treatment.
  • Analyze the microbiome and its impact on colon cancer incidence and prognosis.
  • Identify indications for immunotherapy.
  • Identify side effects related to immunotherapy.
  • Improve clinical knowledge of the assessment/plan for the breast cancer survivor.
  • Recognize signs and symptoms of head and neck cancer in the adult patient.
  • Recognize the role HPV plays in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma.

    TARGET AUDIENCE

    Physicians, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, nurses, social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists and other and other interested healthcare professionals.
