Program overview

This program is designed to improve the strategies for orthopedic management, pre-care, prehab, post care and post rehab, complications of hip replacement and fractures, complication with reductions and splinting and concussions injuries.

Objectives

  • Analyze treatment options for common osteoarthritis conditions.
  • Examine how patients prepare for total joint replacement surgeries.
  • Summarize where the future of stroke care is headed.
  • Acknowledge the importance of patient pre-assessments.
  • Evaluate the importance of pre-op education for patients especially for pain management purposes.
  • Emphasize the value of exercise and therapy before and after surgery. *Examine management of hip fractures, and analyze complications that occur from hip replacement surgeries.
  • Analyze common mistakes made in reductions and splinting.
  • Evaluate common over training injuries and how to prevent them.
