ABOUT THE TRAINING
When a nurse has completed Initial Coach Training, the Coach must attend a 1-hour recertification training every 2 years (please note new change to coach recertification) to use for the RNPDP. The new change was effective November 1, 2104.
It is the responsibility of the Coach to attend a quarterly class prior to their RNPDP due date. Initial Coach Training must be approved by the Coaches Clinical Supervisor.
OBJECTIVES
Following this program, the participants can be expected to:
Identify opportunities to provide feedback to promote learning, critical thinking, and motivation.
Discuss techniques to promote constructive communication between the orientee and coach.
Identify areas of opportunity for growth of the Coach Training class.
