OVERVIEW STATEMENT
At the conclusion of this program, participants will have the knowledge and ability to comprehend 12-Lead ECGs on a more advanced level in order to better serve the patient.
OBJECTIVES
Following this program the participants can be expected to:
1. Demonstrate a systematic approach to reading a 12 lead ECG.
2. Identify the presence of AMI on the ECG.
3. Identify the presence of STEMI imitators on the ECG.
4. Identify the criteria suggestive of hemiblock and bundle branch block on the ECG.
5. Identify the criteria suggestive of left and light ventricular hypertrophy on the ECG.
6. Identify the criteria suggestive of right and left atrial enlargement.
7. Describe ECG changes associated with hyper/hypokalemia, hyper/hypocalcemia, and the clinical implications of these conditions.
8. Identify the criteria suggestive of prolonged QT syndrome and describe the potential implications.
9. Identify the criteria suggestive of pericarditis, acute pulmonary embolism, and early repolarization variant.
10.Differentiate between ventricular tachycardia and supraventricular wide tachycardia's
