You may repeat the test until your score is at least 70%The Advanced Cardiovascular (ACLS) Provider Course is designed for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies.
Through didactic instruction and active participation in simulated cases, the students will enhance their skills and clinical decision-making abilities for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary arrest, acute arrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes.
Students are taught to use the following important concepts: Basic Life Support (BLS) Survey High-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) ACLS Survey ACLS algorithms Effective resuscitation team dynamics Immediate post-cardiac arrest care
The goal of the ACLS Provider Course is to improve outcomes for adult patients with cardiac arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies through provider training.
OBJECTIVES
Following this program, the participants can be expected to:
1. Apply the "BLS, Primary and Secondary Assessments" sequence for a systematic evaluation of adult patients.
2. Perform prompt, high-quality BLS including prioritizing early chest compressions and integrating early AED use.
3. Recognize respiratory arrest.
4. Perform early management of respiratory arrest.
5. Discuss early recognition and management of acute coronary syndromes including appropriate disposition.
6. Discuss early recognition and management of stroke including appropriate disposition.
7. Recognize bradyarrhythmias and tachyarrhythmias that may result in cardiac arrest or complicate resuscitation outcome.
8. Perform early management of bradyarrhythmias and tachyarrhythmias that may result in cardiac arrest or complicate resuscitation outcome.
9. Recognize cardiac arrest.
10.Perform early management of cardiac arrest until termination of resuscitation or transfer of care, including immediate post-cardiac arrest care.
